An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Medical Equipment Management Service at St Johns Hospital, Livingston, to support the delivery of medical equipment management.

Medical Physics is recruiting an experienced electronic/electro-mechanical service technician, graduates, or technicians from other industries to work as a medical equipment technologist. Candidates should have a degree or HND in electronics or medical engineering, with experience in electronic servicing. The role requires self-motivation, teamwork, good interpersonal skills, and flexibility. The position involves travel and working at various hospitals and clinics in Lothian.

The Medical Equipment Management service offers staff development opportunities. You will join a multidisciplinary team, receiving training to manage a wide range of medical equipment across clinical specialties, supporting healthcare at four acute hospital sites and within the local healthcare community.

NHS Lothian serves a population of approximately 800,000 across 700 square miles, encompassing Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian, and West Lothian. The region features diverse landscapes, from Edinburgh's urban environment to hills, countryside, and coastline. Livingston, a vibrant town in West Lothian, is the nearest major town outside Edinburgh.
