The post holder will be a member of the Senior Management Team for Operational Supply Chain Management within the Estates Department of NHS Lothian, led by the Head of Hard FM. They will contribute to the development of the Estates Supply Chain team strategy and be responsible for delivering the overall operational management of the Estates outsourced services.
Operational responsibility for estates supply chains ensuring exceptional performance and delivery ensuring all suppliers are paid on time and delivering the services they are contracted to deliver.
Responsible for ensuring maximum efficiency of resources, achievement of value for money and risk and liability management through negotiation and other procurement skills and techniques.
To support Procurement in aspects of cross directorate contracts covered by their team’s portfolio including the analysis, selection, award and management of contracts.
Deputise for and support the Head of Hard FM (Estates) in relation Hard FM deliver and compliance

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check done than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
