This position offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact at the cutting edge of cancer care, focusing on cellular therapies within the renowned Edinburgh Cancer Centre (ECC). As a Specialist Cancer Care Pharmacist, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting patients undergoing CAR-T cell therapy and autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantsinnovative treatments that are transforming outcomes for patients with malignant haematology conditions.

About The Role

This post is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist looking to specialise or advance in cancer care. You’ll:

  • Play a key role in the pharmaceutical delivery of CAR-T cell therapy, autologous stem cell transplants, and other advanced therapies (ATMPs) for patients.
  • Be part of a rotational Band 7 program that provides a breadth of training and experience across cancer services.
  • Collaborate closely with a highly supportive haematology pharmacy team, committed to innovation and the development of cancer services.
  • Engage with an exciting pipeline of new treatments and participate in clinical trials, helping to shape the future of cancer care.
  • Benefit from opportunities for service improvement, independent prescribing training, and other personal and professional development initiatives.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A Master of Pharmacy Degree (or equivalent) and General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registration.
  • Completion of or have equivalent competence mapped to the .
  • A commitment to improving patient care through pro-active, evidence-based pharmaceutical services.
  • Experience in influencing prescribing practices and working in a patient-focused environment.
  • Cancer experience is desirable but not essentialtraining and support will be provided.
