NHS Lothian is seeking Clinical Fellows in Renal Medicine for full-time positions at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. These posts offer specialty training in nephrology and renal transplantation, ideal for GMC-registered physicians seeking further experience. Successful candidates will engage in clinical duties while accommodating specific interests such as research.

The post holders will be primarily based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, with possible travel to satellite units in SJH, WGH, and Borders.
These full-time posts are funded by NHS Lothian to provide specialty experience in Nephrology. They are suitable for in-program or post-CCT physicians seeking additional experience in sub-specialty aspects of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation. The six-month post can be accredited for training (Locum appointment for Training LAT) based on individual needs. Specific interests, such as research, will be accommodated where possible. The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh offers renal services to Lothian & Borders and kidney transplantation to the North, East, and South-East of Scotland, as well as kidney-pancreas transplantation for the entire country. The renal unit is a registered training site for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. The post involves mainly working in the Department of Renal Medicine and participating in the on-call rota for Specialty Trainees (StR).

The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh provides general nephrology and dialysis services for Lothian & Borders, kidney transplantation for the North, East, and South-East of Scotland, and kidney-pancreas, liver, and islet transplantation for all of Scotland.
