Job Opportunity: Band 6 Physiotherapy Supervisor

The Midlothian Intermediate Care Team, Home First, is seeking a full-time Band 6 Physiotherapy Supervisor for a temporary position within the Midlothian Assessment and Rehab Team.

The Midlothian Intermediate Care Teams adopt a Home First philosophy. The team aims to prevent avoidable hospital admissions, facilitate quicker discharges, provide rehabilitation in the home, and offer an alternative to hospital admission for older adults in Midlothian.

  1. Supervise Physiotherapists, assistant practitioners, clinical support workers, and students.
  2. Deputise for the team lead in meetings related to the specialist clinical area.
  3. Develop and deliver training programmes for professionals and carers, educating them about therapy processes and interventions related to patients' medical and social needs.

This role requires the post holder to have PVG Scheme membership/record. If not currently a member, an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting.
