Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Accountable to the General Manager for managing and controlling the Directorate resources, achieving business performance objectives within quality standards (e.g., local and national HEAT targets), and contributing to the corporate management of the Division through the Directorate Management Team.
  2. The Clinical Service Manager plays a key role in the infection prevention and control programme by promoting a culture of compliance and facilitating adherence to policies to ensure NHS Lothian achieves locally and nationally set targets for reducing Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI).
  3. Responsible for providing operational support to the General Manager to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of LRP, always working within NHS Lothian values.
  4. The post holder must ensure patient flow is optimized across all services.
  5. This position requires PVG Scheme membership/record. If not currently a member, an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and approved before starting in the role.
