NHS Dumfries & Galloway is seeking a dedicated Dental Nurse for their Public Dental Service. This role includes providing essential patient support and assisting the clinical team within the Scottish Emergency Dental Service. Candidates must have relevant qualifications and experience, with a commitment to delivering high-quality dental care.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Dental Nurse to join our Public Dental Service (PDS) to provide patient-centred dental support in NHS Dumfries & Galloway. This unique opportunity involves providing both direct and indirect support to patients and the clinical team. The position is within our Scottish Emergency Dental Service (SEDS), offering clinics from Dumfries Dental Centre. The post holder would be required to work 7.5 hours per weekend, one weekend in four, and additional hours to cover public holidays, annual leave, and sickness.
Relevant clinical experience as a Dental Nurse, NEBDN qualification or SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing, and registration with GDC as a Dental Nurse are essential. A sound knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within a clinical environment, problem-solving skills, the ability to handle the pressures of a diverse clinic, and excellent communication skills are also required.
