Position Details

A doctor appointed to this grade:

  1. shall have full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council;
  2. shall have completed a minimum of 10 years’ medical work (either continuous or in aggregate) since obtaining a primary medical qualification, with at least six years in a relevant specialty in the Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades. Equivalent experience from other medical grades, including overseas, will also be accepted;
  3. shall meet the criteria set out in the Specialist grade generic capabilities framework.

This is a permanent, part-time (28 hours per week) post based in Lauriston Building, within the NHS Lothian Department of Dermatology. The department is located adjacent to the former Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh hospital site and runs outreach clinics in East and West Lothian.
