Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and motivated Team Lead Occupational Therapist to join the Major Trauma service. The successful candidate will lead a dynamic team of Occupational Therapists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services from Critical Care through to community reintegration. Flexibility and experience in managing Major Trauma care, along with proven leadership skills, are essential.

The role involves managing a clinical caseload involving polytrauma and traumatic brain injury, ensuring evidence-based, client-centred interventions. Responsibilities include overseeing early intervention rehabilitation, supporting patient transitions from acute to home, and coordinating an early supported discharge service involving multidisciplinary team members.

The candidate will work alongside an established Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist, contribute to service development, and supervise a team of senior Occupational Therapists, OT assistants, and Rehab Practitioners. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and experience in service development/QI practices are required.

There will be a commitment to weekend working as part of a 5 over 7 day rota. Support will be provided by the Occupational Therapy Site Lead, and the successful candidate will be part of a broader hospital-wide service development team.
