Job description

Job Title: Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist

West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking MSK Physiotherapist to join our team. This role involves working within the MSK physiotherapy team delivering services at St John’s Hospital and ten Health Centres across West Lothian.

Position Details:

  • 2 WTE, 37 hours
  • Interviews scheduled for: Friday 30/05/2025

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a mixed caseload of urgent, chronic, orthopaedic, and rheumatology conditions.
  • Collaborating with referrals from GPs, GP Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners (APPs), NHS24 MATS telephone line, and consultants.
  • Working in various MSK settings, including consultations, gym rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, community, pain management, Women's Health, GP APP service, Addiwell prison, and DOSA.
  • Participating in a comprehensive training program with protected CPD time and mentorship.
  • Potential to develop into a Band 7 role within core physiotherapy services or as an APP.

  • Excellent links with our first contact GP APP service and collaboration with pathways for spinal, shoulder, and foot & ankle conditions.
  • Flexible working hours are available, with good transport links from Edinburgh or Glasgow.
