Department of Radiology

Band 6 Specialist Radiographers – 37 hours

Permanent – 10 posts

We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic and conscientious radiographers to join our radiology team across NHS Lothian. These posts will provide an excellent opportunity for the successful candidates to develop skills in all aspects of cross-sectional radiography at Western General Hospital, St John’s Hospital, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and Department of Clinical Neurology.
The chosen applicants will work with a wide variety of equipment and includes the potential to work on cross sectional scanners in both adult and paediatric settings including Intra Operative MRI.
These posts support the expansion of services on all sites and provides an excellent career prospect for the successful candidate to broaden their experience in a wide variety of cross-sectional imaging.
Equipment on the sites include- Canon Acquillion CT scanners, Siemens Definition CT scanners, Philips Ingenia 1.5T & 3TMRI scanners, and Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5 MRI.
The successful applicants will be required to participate in cross site working, On -Call / 5/7 rosters and provide cover for evening and weekend shifts.
Applicants should have relevant postgraduate experience.
Previous experience in CT/MRI would be an advantage.
