Job Details

Note: This is a part-time position, and the salary will be pro-rata.

Set Days: Sun/Mon

Role Responsibilities

Assist Radiographers and Radiologists during various examinations including Radiographic, Mammographic, MRI, CT, Radionuclide, Ultrasound, and Fluoroscopic procedures. Provide direct specialist clinical support, maintain specialist equipment, and ensure the imaging environment supports high-quality patient care.

Requirements

This position requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If not currently a PVG member for the relevant regulatory group (child and/or adult), an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting employment.

Trainee Post Details

This is a Trainee post, and Annex 21 applies. The pay during training varies based on the duration:

  • Up to 12 months before completing training: 75% of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate.
  • More than 1 but less than 2 years before completion: 70% of the pay band maximum.
  • More than 2 but less than 3 years before completion: 65% of the pay band maximum.
  • More than 3 years from completion: 60% of the pay band maximum.
