Clinical Psychologist Band 8A: 2.8 WTE CMHT

This is an exciting opportunity for Clinical Psychologists interested in working with patients presenting with severe and complex mental health problems. We have several posts available within the four Edinburgh community mental health teams (CMHTs). Psychology is well established within these teams, and you will be based within the CMHT, working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues.

Your role will involve providing a highly specialist CMHT Psychology service, including assessment, formulation, and application of psychological models and therapies. You will conduct individual and group therapies, support the multidisciplinary team through shared assessments, psychological formulation, reflective practice, and consultancy. Teaching and training within the CMHT will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will engage in audit and research activities.

The service strongly supports professional development, and you will be part of the Psychosis and Complex Mental Health Psychology Service and the wider Lothian Psychology Service.

The Lothian Psychology Service collaborates with trainees from various universities, including Edinburgh University.
