Job Description:

The opportunity has arisen to join a dedicated Support Services team within Galloway Community Hospital.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland from 1 April 2024, but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro-rata for part-time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflect the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37-hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week temporarily, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.

EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY
NHS Dumfries and Galloway is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce, and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. NHS Dumfries and Galloway welcomes applicants from all sections of the community.

All legislation, policies, and guidance are based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the European Convention on Human Rights, underpinning all NHS Dumfries and Galloway's core business.

RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UNITED KINGDOM
NHS Dumfries and Galloway must ensure it does not employ workers without the relevant permission to work in the UK, granted by the UK Border Agency. All prospective employees' entitlement to work in the UK must be checked, regardless of nationality or job category. Candidates requiring a Certificate of Sponsorship can find more information at www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk. Please ensure the salary meets the minimum required for sponsorship, as sponsorship cannot be provided for bank contracts.
