Job description

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and developing Psychology services for older people across NHS Lanarkshire. You will deliver highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention to older people with a wide range of age-related complex mental health difficulties, some of whom may also experience organic illness. The service offers various therapeutic approaches (e.g., ACT, CFT, CBT, EMDR, Brief Schema Therapy), with opportunities to participate in group therapy. You will have the chance to develop advanced clinical skills and pursue further therapeutic training. The role includes supervision and teaching responsibilities, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to a new model of early clinical assessment. Opportunities for audit and research activities may also be available.
