An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Dumfries & Galloway for Specialist Radiographers to join our team and support in the provision of our 24/7 imaging service.
We have 2 vacancies of 37 hours per week - one post is Permanent, one post is Fixed term from 26/05/25 until 26/02/26. Please indicate your preference on your application.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with well-established people skills, who can lead safely, effectively, and efficiently.
We are a forward-looking department that invests in staff training and is keen to develop our service. We expect you to participate in staff development and training.
You may be required to provide cover at the Stranraer site but will mainly be based at Dumfries.
Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in MRI/CT and a sound working knowledge of clinical guidelines and safety standards within these areas.
NHS Dumfries & Galloway performs over 100,000 exams per year at sites in Dumfries and Stranraer. As part of this role, you would be expected to participate in our extended working / 7-day service provision, which may include an on-call component.
The Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI) site opened in 2017 and features state-of-the-art digital equipment. CT and DR equipment at Stranraer has been replaced in the last 2 years, providing an environment with the latest technology, mirroring that at Dumfries.
We are part of the Scottish National PACS service and have recently upgraded to a PACS reporting setup.
