Barclays Knutsford campus invites graduates to join its Explorer Programme, a two-year rotation in technology, cyber and security, designed to build depth and breadth of experience and to develop practical skills.

You will rotate through three eight-month placements, gain exposure to threat intelligence, secure engineering and risk management, and receive training and mentoring to launch a career in a world-class financial services group.

Job Description Purpose of the role To support the day-to-day operations of the Chief Security Office, providing insights and expertise that help support the vision and mission of the business area. Accountabilities Collaboration with experts across teams to help reduce risk, protect our customer and clients, and provide a world class service for our business. Identification of opportunities for us to improve and maximise agility and develop an agile and intelligence led approach to security delivery. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business projects and initiatives. Identification of opportunities for us to improve, and clearly articulating to drive positive change across the function. Analyst Expectations To perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement. Requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in their assigned area of expertise Thorough understanding of the underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise They lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements and coordinating team resources. Our Explorer Programme You'll join our explorer programme, a 2-year programme designed to give you depth and breadth of experience. Participating in job-based bespoke training from the start enabling you to go fully-equipped into your role as you embark on the first of three eight-month long rotations. You’ll learn how technology, controls, threat intelligence and secure engineering come together to manage risk and keep services resilient. To be considered for this opportunity, you'll be motivated with a strong degree or expected degree achieved before June 2027. You’ll also bring a genuine interest in technology, strong problem-solving skills and the drive to deliver innovative solutions. Barclays will accept applications from candidates who require visa sponsorship to work in the UK and will provide a skilled worker visa for successful applicants if they meet the Home Office’s eligibility criteria for a skilled worker visa.
