Job summary

Man Group invites you to join our Technology Internship programme in London, where you will work embedded in one of our teams, tackling projects across software development, DevOps and data engineering. You will receive formal training and mentoring to accelerate your development and broaden your understanding of the financial services industry.

About The Programme

Our Technology Internship programme invites you to spend 3, 4 or 6 months (depnding on indvidual circumstance) fully embedded in one of our teams, tackling impactful projects that drive technological advancement and deliver meaningful business impact. You'll receive formal training and comprehensive support from a dedicated buddy and mentor who will guide your development and help you navigate the organisation. We also host knowledge sharing sessions and intern-specific events to help you build a broader understanding of Man Group and the wider financial services industry.

Your projects will span cutting-edge technology domains such as software development, DevOps and data engineering, with the opportunity to enhance our quantitative investment platform, integrate new datasets, extend our execution and order management systems, and contribute to our core technology platform. You will build a deep understanding of our business and the financial markets by working closely with teams across Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Responsible Investment, Operations and more, and you'll have the chance to present your project to senior management.

Candidates who demonstrate strong performance may be offered a full-time position on our Technology Foundation Programme, our graduate scheme for launching exceptional technology careers at Man Group.

Who are we looking for?

Join us as an intern and you'll be part of a team that builds and runs the platform powering Man's hedge funds.

Requirements:

• Experience working with any of the following programming or scripting languages: Python, Java, C#.Net or C++ or demonstrable understanding of how an enterprise infrastructure functions.
• A genuine passion for technology - please include links to relevant work such as Github repostries, previous internships or Hackathon projects on your application.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline (desired but not necessary). If you are excited about the role and can pass our tech test, we encourage you to apply.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills
• Candidates should be in the penultimate year of their master’s or bachelor’s degree.

Application Process

• Application Window: 16th September– 30th October 2026
• CV Screen: We'll review your application and contact you by email to confirm whether you're progressing to the next stage. Due to high application volumes, there may be a short wait, but we’ll respond as soon as possible.
• Online Test: Technical homework assignment that should take no longer than one hour.
• Technical Interview: One-hour technical interview with an engineer from the team to assess your coding skills.
• Final Interview: 30 minutes with one of our technology managers to assess your suitability for the programme, either at our office in London or via video call.

Note: We take your technical interests and preferences into consideration when determining which team you will intern in.

Programme Date: 21st June 2027 –10th September 2027 (3 months)
