Job summary

Man Group invites you to join a 3, 4 or 6 month Technology Internship Programme in London. You will be embedded in one of our teams, tackling projects that advance technology and deliver business impact. A buddy and mentor will support your development.

Projects span software development, DevOps and data engineering, with exposure to our quantitative platform and datasets, plus opportunities to present to senior management. A potential full-time path may follow.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a technical degree with strong interest in software development and data.
• Experience with Python/Java/C++ or C#.Net and understanding of enterprise infra.
• Demonstrable projects or hackathon work is welcome via GitHub links.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software development, DevOps and data engineering projects.
• Work on the quantitative investment platform and data integration tasks.
• Collaborate with teams across Portfolio Management, Trading and Risk.

About the Programme

Our Technology Internship programme invites you to spend 3, 4 or 6 months (depnding on indvidual circumstance) fully embedded in one of our teams , tackling impactful projects that drive technological advancement and deliver meaningful business impact. You'll receive formal training and comprehensive support from a dedicated buddy and mentor who will guide your development and help you navigate the organisation. We also host knowledge sharing sessions and intern-specific events to help you build a broader understanding of Man Group and the wider financial services industry.

Your projects will span cutting-edge technology domains such as software development, DevOps and data engineering, with the opportunity to enhance our quantitative investment platform, integrate new datasets, extend our execution and order management systems, and contribute to our core technology platform. You will build a deep understanding of our business and the financial markets by working closely with teams across Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Responsible Investment, Operations and more, and you'll have the chance to present your project to senior management.

Candidates who demonstrate strong performance may be offered a full-time position on our Technology Foundation Programme, our graduate scheme for launching exceptional technology careers at Man Group.

Who are we looking for?

Join us as an intern and you'll be part of a team that builds and runs the platform powering Man's hedge funds.

Requirements

• Experience working with any of the following programming or scripting languages: Python, Java, C#.Net or C++ or demonstrable understanding of how an enterprise infrastructure functions.
• A genuine passion for technology - p lease include links to relevant work such as G ithub repostries , previous i nternship s or Hackathon projects on your application.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline (desired but not necessary). If you are excited about the role and can pass our tech test, we encourage you to apply.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills
• Candidates should be in the penultimate year of their master’s or bachelor’s degree.
