Job description

Who We AreFTI Consulting is the leading global expert firm for organizations facing crisis and transformation. We work with many of the world’s top multinational corporations, law firms, banks and private equity firms on their most important issues to deliver impact that makes a difference. From resolving disputes, navigating crises, managing risk and optimizing performance, our teams respond rapidly to dynamic and complex situations. At FTI Consulting, you’ll work side-by side with leaders who have shaped history, helping solve the biggest challenges making headlines today. From day one, you’ll be an integral part of a focused team where you can make a real impact. You’ll be surrounded by an open, collaborative culture that embraces diversity, recognition, professional development and, most importantly, you.Are you ready to make your impact?About the RoleAs professionals in FTI Consulting’s Forensic & Litigation Consulting practice, we are involved in complex, global and high-profile litigation, arbitration and investigations combining end-to-end risk advisory, investigative and disputes expertise to deliver holistic solutions for our clients.Consultants within the Data & Analytics (D&A) team support this by providing advanced analytics and delivering strategic business solutions for client matters involving large and disparate sets of financial, operational and transactional data. Our objective is to make data tell a story, revealing truths underlying commercial disputes, regulatory inquiries and operational activities. Our work sits at the intersection of data, technology, investigations and business problem-solving. Whether supporting regulatory investigations, helping clients review large-scale programmes, deploying AI-enabled review solutions, or analysing complex commercial disputes, we use data to uncover evidence, answer critical questions and help clients make decisions with confidence.Example projects:A large bank needed to find out whether any activity across its millions of customers might be connected to sanctioned individuals or organisations. D&A brought together large volumes of customer and transaction data and developed tools to compare customer names against sanctions lists. The team then presented potential matches in a review platform, helping investigators identify higher-risk activity and focus their work more efficiently.FTI supported the UK Government in reviewing national energy-support schemes introduced during the cost-of-living crisis. Working alongside forensic accountants, D&A combined data from multiple energy suppliers and tested nearly half a billion billing records covering more than 21 million properties. The team also used machine learning to extract information from customer bills. This work helped identify billing errors and potential fraud and ensured that more customers received the discounts to which they were entitled.During a fast-moving financial investigation, an FTI team needed to review a large collection of emails, instant messages and documents. D&A developed a secure and traceable process to organise and analyse the material using FTI’s Generative AI technology. This helped the investigation team quickly identify important themes and information while ensuring that the analysis could be clearly explained and reviewed.D&A supported an independent panel investigating potential match-fixing in professional tennis. The team combined match results with alerts about suspicious activity and used statistical analysis and interactive visualisations to identify patterns involving particular players, matches and demographic groups. This helped the panel focus its investigation on the areas of greatest concern and turn complex sporting data into clear, evidence-based findings. What You’ll DoCollect, combine and analyse large and varied datasets from different sourcesApply analytical thinking and technology to answer complex investigative, regulatory and commercial questionsDesign and implement complex data pipelines incorporating both private and publicly available data to facilitate analysis.Leverage modern AI and agentic tools to assist with development, analysis and research activities.Work with senior colleagues and directly with clients and other stakeholders to understand and identify their requirementsPerform analytical work, individually and in project teamsHelp ensure the quality of the delivered work, by performing quality control checks and quality control documentationCarry out a broad range of data analysis, engineering, and visualisation tasks. How You’ll GrowWork on dynamic and challenging engagements that appear on the news and have impacts measured in the billions of dollarsReceive training and support to develop your technical, consulting and professional skills, and gain accreditation where applicableLearn from experts in areas including anti-money laundering, sanctions, financial analysis and investigationsGain direct exposure to clients and stakeholders across a range of industries and backgroundsDevelop practical experience across the full data lifecycle, from data engineering and cloud technologies to advanced analytics, machine learning and AI.Receive regular feedback and professional guidance to support along a well-defined career pathWhat You Will Need to SucceedBasic QualificationsCurrently in the penultimate year of a degree in a quantitative or related subject, such as mathematics, data science, computer science, physics or engineering, and graduating in 2028Available to work full-time from 5th July – 27th August 2027A passion for problem-solving and strong analytical skillsThe ability to perform in demanding, deadline-orientated situationsExcellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skillsPreferred Technical SkillsWorking knowledge of relational databases and SQLExperience with programming or scripting languages such as PythonKnowledge of general machine learning and AI concepts would be advantageous (e.g. supervised/unsupervised learning, regression and classification, clustering, feature extraction, graph theory)Experience using modern AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar tools. Our Application ProcessThe deadline for applications is: 19th November 2026STEP 1 : Complete our online application form and submit your CV (no cover letter required).STEP 2 : Complete online skills test (data & analytics test), and a pre-recorded video interview.STEP 3 : Attend a competency-based virtual interview to explore your skills and motivations between 25th - 29th January 2027.STEP 4: Attend an assessment centre between 8th-19th February 2027.STEP 5 : Job offers are made to successful candidates before 1st March 2027.#LI-RR1 #EMEAJTFTI Consulting is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, protected veteran status, religion, physical or mental disability, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, or any other basis protected by law, ordinance, or regulation.
