Savills is seeking a Graduate Rural Surveyor to join the Rural team across the UK, starting September 2027. You’ll gain hands-on experience in estate management, rural agency, valuation and related services, with a clear path to APC.

As part of the Future Talent programme, you’ll benefit from mentoring, structured training, and exposure to high-profile projects across our nationwide offices, from Inverness to Truro, building broad technical and commercial skills.

Role title: Graduate Rural Surveyor (September 2027 start)

Salary: £27,000 and £1,000 sign on bonus

Savills Rural team operate at the forefront of dynamic and forward thinking land management. From a UK network of over 30 offices, from Inverness in the North to Truro in the South-West, our surveyors and rural professionals offer a range of advice to clients including traditional estate management, the preparation of farms and estates for sale, forestry management and investment, as well as consultancy services such as valuation or acting in the delivery of infrastructure projects.

As a graduate on the rural pathway, no one day is the same. In a typical day, a rural graduate could be out walking boundaries and inspecting crops, dealing with residential, commercial or agricultural landlord and tenant issues, carrying out property refurbishments or negotiating terms for access agreements and easements. The breadth of experience that Savills graduates obtain is second to none.

The Edinburgh Estate Management team is a friendly, supportive, and fun team of seven. As a graduate Surveyor based in Edinburgh, you'll gain hands-on experience working on interesting Estates across Scotland and North Northumberland. You'll collaborate with colleagues from a wide range of disciplines, including energy, residential development, leisure and valuation, giving you exposure to diverse projects and helping you build a well-rounded understanding of the rural property sector. With a varied workload, strong mentoring, and excellent career development opportunities, you'll be encouraged to grow your skills, take on responsibility, and make a meaningful contribution from the off.

The Winchester Estate Management team combines a strong, successful output with a genuinely enjoyable team culture. As a young and ambitious team, we work closely together across a varied client base ranging from private estates to charities and institutional investors. Regular collaboration, mentoring and social events help create a supportive environment where people can develop both professionally and personally.

The variety of work undertaken provides an outstanding grounding for APC candidates, exposing them to a broad range of rural surveying disciplines and helping them build the technical and commercial skills needed for qualification and beyond. Whether starting as a graduate or progressing through the profession, team members benefit from responsibility, client contact and opportunities to work on some of the region's most interesting rural portfolios.

Winchester has been one of the South region’s highest performing offices for a number of years and this has come with the opportunity to get involved with exciting projects. We are regularly producing strategic asset reports, considering the feasibility of converting disused agricultural buildings, facilitating development opportunities and much more. The role not only offers the ability to build a good grounding for the rural profession but also find specific areas of interest that will benefit your future career.
