Job summary

Montagu Evans LLP is launching its Graduate Surveyor – Planning & Development programme in 2027. The two-year rotation covers Planning Development with APC preparation, supported by mentors and Partners.

You will work on large-scale commercial, residential and mixed-use projects, building client relationships and applying university learning to real property matters. You will join a collaborative culture with a market-leading salary, a strong training track, and career progression opportunities

Qualifications

• Accredited RICS Degree is essential; dual RTPI+RICS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Research and present a range of property data.
• Inspect, measure and value property types across the UK.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to pitches/presentations.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external consultants (architects, solicitors, surveyors).

Role Overview

Our two-year Graduate Programme is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working directly with our clients and alongside Partners and other senior colleagues across the business.

Over the course of the two-year structured training programme, you will rotate through teams focusing on Planning Development by spending one year focusing on each element. During these rotations your knowledge, skills, and experience will grow, preparing you for a successful and rewarding career with us. You will have comprehensive support from peers and mentors, building towards the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and qualification.

From day one, your team will value your perspective, give you real responsibility and rely on your contribution. You will have exposure to some of the largest commercial, residential and mixed-use property projects in the UK across private and public sectors.

With a keen interest and awareness of property/industry news and the current market, you will be able to demonstrate a great understanding of how you apply what you have learnt at university to real property matters. Articulate and confident with strong interpersonal skills, you will show an aptitude for building collaborative relationships and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyse and present a range of property data


• Inspect, measure and value a range of property types across the UK


• Appraise property using a range of sector specific valuation software


• Undertake building tours and marketing events


• Attend client meetings, contribute to pitches and presentations, and provide written advice for clients


• Work directly with Montagu Evans Associates and Partners on a day-to-day basis


• Liaise and collaborate with various internal departments as well as external consultants (such as architects, solicitors, building surveyors and other agents)
