Job summary

WSP is recruiting graduates to join our Transport & Mobility teams in 2027. You will help develop sustainable, accessible transport solutions and work with clients across the UK to deliver projects that improve how people move.

You will learn through our two-year Graduate Development Programme, gain experience across multiple disciplines, and contribute to initiatives that reduce congestion and emissions while supporting communities.

Qualifications

  • You will have, or be on track to achieve, at least a 2:2 in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Please ensure you have checked degree backgrounds considered for our graduate roles.
  • You will be looking to start work in April or September 2027.
  • Interest in transport planning, mobility, transport modelling, sustainable transport, active travel, public transport or transport strategy.

A little bit more about your role and the team…

As a graduate in our Transport & Mobility teams, you'll help develop sustainable, accessible and efficient transport solutions that improve how people move through towns, cities and regions. Working with clients across the UK, you will contribute to strategies and projects that deliver positive social, environmental and economic outcomes for communities.

You will work on a varied range of projects, from improving active travel networks and public transport systems to supporting major developments, transport strategies and mobility initiatives. Collaborating with transport planners, engineers, urban designers and environmental specialists, you’ll help develop practical solutions to real-world transport challenges.

You will build skills in data analysis, transport modelling, stakeholder engagement and option development. From creating safer walking and cycling routes to improving access to sustainable transport and reducing congestion and carbon emissions, your work will help people travel and connect more easily.

What we’re looking for

You will be looking to start work in April or in September 2027.

You will have an interest in transport planning, mobility, transport modelling, sustainable transport, active travel, public transport or transport strategy.

You will be curious, collaborative and motivated to solve challenges that improve how people and goods move through our communities.

You will enjoy working with others, sharing ideas and learning from different specialists across multidisciplinary project teams.

You will be interested in understanding the social, environmental and economic impacts of transport and helping to develop sustainable solutions.

You will want to take ownership of your work and development, while helping to create value for our clients.

You will be eager to learn, develop new skills and broaden your experience throughtechnical analysis, stakeholder engagement and project delivery.
