Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Finance Student Placement in Maidenhead for a 12-month program starting June 2027. You will work alongside senior finance professionals supporting Commercial, Tax Planning, Treasury, Global Services, Internal Audit, or FS&T, with exposure to decision making and reporting.

You will gain hands-on experience in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while developing and applying accounting theory and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• 2 years of undergraduate degree level study completed at the start of the placement year.
• The industrial placement year is part of your overall undergraduate degree course.
• A minimum of 2:1 achieved in first year of study.
• Accounting and Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Sciences and Business-related degree types preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounting activities and reporting under supervision.
• Support decision making in future resource investments and budgeting.
• Collaborate with finance and cross functional teams on ad hoc issues.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and analytical reports.
• Contribute to planning for UK and Ireland financial activities.
• Analyze data and generate insights using Excel.

Role Title : Finance Student Placement

Intake : June 2027

Duration : 12 months

Please note that our office will be relocating to central Maidenhead from October 2026. Applicants should ensure that this location is suitable for them before applying.

Position Summary

You will find yourself working alongside senior finance and accounting professionals to supporting either our Commercial functions, Tax Planning, Treasury, Global Services, Internal Audit or FS&T. You will be involved in accounting activities, supporting decision making in future resource investments, and will carry reporting and analytical responsibilities for financial information in your area.

When you join Johnson and Johnson as a Finance Placement Student you will embark on an industrial placement year that gives you a high level of exposure to decision making and places you at the very heart of our business.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring processes are compliant and meet J&J's internal controls.
• Reviewing and evaluating financial statements.
• Working with the finance and commercial teams to manage opex spending in line with budgets.
• Engaging with the UK cross sector and international teams to investigate and resolve ad hoc issues.
• Reporting planned and actual figures within the finance team and to our business partners.
• Exposure in financial planning and forecasting for UK and Ireland.
• Preparation of monthly reconciliation in areas of responsibility.
• Collaborating on team projects and driving process efficiencies.
• Applying and interpreting accounting theory and corporate financial policies.
• Coordinating monthly Finance Leadership Council meeting.
• Support in planning of team events.
• Data analysis and reporting using tools such as Excel.

Education Requirements
