Job summary

Biopharma Careers in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Finance Student Placement for a 12‑month placement starting June 2027. You will work with senior finance professionals across multiple functions, handling accounting tasks, reporting and analytics to support decision-making and future resource investments.

You will gain exposure to financial decision making and take part in a year-long industrial placement at the heart of the business, with relocation to Maidenhead planned from October 2026.

Qualifications

• Two years of undergraduate degree studies completed at start of placement (June 2027).
• The industrial placement year is part of your overall undergraduate degree.
• Minimum of 2:1 achieved in first year of study.
• Accounting/Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Sciences or Business-related degrees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring processes are compliant with internal controls.
• Reviewing and evaluating financial statements.
• Managing opex spending in line with budgets with finance and commercial teams.
• Engaging with UK cross-sector and international teams to resolve issues.
• Reporting planned and actual figures within the finance team and to business partners.

Position Summary:

You will find yourself working alongside senior finance and accounting professionals to supporting either our Commercial functions, Tax Planning, Treasury, Global Services, Internal Audit or FS&T. You will be involved in accounting activities, supporting decision making in future resource investments, and will carry reporting and analytical responsibilities for financial information in your area.

When you join Johnson and Johnson as a Finance Placement Student you will embark on an industrial placement year that gives you a high level of exposure to decision making and places you at the very heart of our business.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensuring processes are compliant and meet J&J’s internal controls.

Reviewing and evaluating financial statements.

Working with the finance and commercial teams to manage opex spending in line with budgets.

Education Requirements:

The industrial placement year is part of your overall undergraduate degree course.

Accounting and Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Sciences and Business-related degree types preferred.
