Transmission & Distribution

Our team’s focus is ensuring energy remains accessible to all, and that energy networks can operate efficiently. As the UK pushes towards Net Zero, there is rapid expansion required for these existing networks and infrastructure, along with ensuring their integrity to meet these ambitious targets. Join this team and you’ll work on large-scale investment plans to ensure networks can meet future demands, focusing on integrating clean energy sources, maintaining network resilience, and expanding renewable exports via subsea HVDC connections.

Candidate Specification

To join us for an industrial trainee placement, you must currently be at university or seeking a pre-university placement. You’ll work alongside graduates, experienced professionals, and other students, providing a valuable learning opportunity while understanding our values and culture. It’s a great chance to get involved with real projects and gain relevant experience.

We are looking for students studying Civil Engineering, with the following qualities:

• A methodical approach to problem solving
• The ability to use initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently
• Excellent verbal communication skills for liaising confidently with clients and team members
• Strong written communication and attention to detail for technical drawings and reports
