Job title: Heating and Ventilation Pipe Fitter Apprentice

What are we looking for?

We are looking for people with a genuine interest in construction and the built environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and ambitious, with the potential to progress to a supervisory / management role over a five-to-ten-year period.

Role Overview

For this role, you will be based permanently in our off-site manufacturing centre in Oldbury. Working as part of a team, you will assist experienced tradespeople with the installation of mechanical service modules for delivery to one of our many UK-wide projects. These service modules are then installed by a separate on-site LOR team to create exciting new builds, such as hospitals, schools, and airports. As a mechanical pipe fitter, you would be part of a delivery-focused assembly team that is provided with steel frames and various shapes and sizes of welded pipework from other areas of production. Using modern installation methods and working from a fixed design, you will be tasked with installing the pipework into the frames. You will be assembling a range of different pipework services, from smaller fabrications to larger packaged plant rooms, learning the principles of valve arrangements and mechanical plant. Traditional and modern pipe fitting skills will be gained, fabrication and installation techniques will be learnt, and every day you will be at the heart of delivering one of our several exciting projects.
