Job description

Camp Boggy Creek is a not-for-profit medical camp that serves children with serious illnesses. We offer summer jobs and year-round volunteer opportunities. Located in central Florida, approximately 45 minutes north of Orlando, our summer staff directly impact and empower children.

A camp where children with serious illnesses and their families can forget the word “no” for a little while and embrace the promise of “yes.”

Skills Developed

No matter your major, our summer jobs teach top skills that graduate schools and companies value: leadership, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, customer service, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Who Should Apply

If you enjoy kids, trying new things, and choosing kindness, this could be the place for you! Don’t worry if you lack experience with children who have illnesses; we have medical staff and volunteers to care for campers’ medical needs. We will train staff in the medical information needed to PLAY WITH KIDS.

Application Requirements

Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Positions are contingent on reference checks, a passing criminal background screening, fingerprinting, and medical/immunization requirements. We aim to hire summer staff by mid-April; early applications are encouraged.

• Cabin Counselors: Responsible for the daily needs of campers, supervision, guidance, and motivation. Share living space and sleep in cabins.
• Activity Staff: Prepare, supervise, and facilitate activities across various areas. Share living space and sleep in staff lodge buildings.
• Leadership/Support Staff: Support cabin and activity areas, assist with all-camp activities, and perform behind-the-scenes roles. Sleep in staff lodge buildings.
