Job description

E-commerce DTC Manager - AESOP

I am the E-COMMERCE DTC MANAGER responsible for the overall strategic development, operational management, and commercial performance of Aesop’s direct-to-consumer online channels. This role focuses on driving sales, enhancing the customer experience, and building strong brand loyalty through our digital platforms. I oversee all aspects of the DTC e-commerce business, from website functionality and digital marketing to fulfillment and customer service, ensuring a seamless and engaging consumer journey that aligns with Aesop's brand vision and business objectives.

A DAY IN A LIFE
  1. Build and execute the Brand E-D2C strategy to maximize retail sales, customer acquisition & loyalty, and to drive brand image.
  2. Be responsible for E-D2C forecasting, trend analysis, and retail reporting for Aesop.
  3. Work with the Finance team to own the E-D2C P&L for Aesop.
  4. Monitor key KPI performance, provide analysis and insights, including KPI reporting.
  5. Own and manage on-site merchandising, including PDPs, product descriptions, attributes, filters, and categorization. Recommend innovations using shopper insights and market learnings, working with the DEC team on implementation.
  6. Manage activation calendar and build activation plans for key selling moments, such as Q4 events.
  7. Collaborate with the CRM manager to develop CRM plans that maximize customer recruitment and retention. Co-own the loyalty P&L to ensure engagement and ROI.
  8. Work with D2C Media & Search managers to optimize website content for organic search.
  9. Ensure regular updates of product information across systems and liaise with Supply Chain on stock availability.
  10. Coordinate configuration and testing of promotions and campaigns on the SFCC platform with support from the DEC team, ensuring timely go-live without issues.
  11. Ensure all assets provided by the brand team are optimized for e-commerce.
  12. Communicate promotional plans and updates with relevant stakeholders, including Supply Chain and Activation teams.
  13. Manage the budget effectively to maximize ROI.
  14. Identify new business opportunities through trends, technologies, and digital services.
  15. Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, agencies, and platform providers, and upskill teams on consumer-centric approaches.
  16. Oversee all D2C files and budget control files.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Your success will be measured by your impact on:

  • NPS
  • D2C animation plan & development roadmap
  • DEC backlog management and collaboration with CDMO
WHO YOU ARE
  • Knowledge of the UK & Ireland e-commerce and CRM landscape, including competitor activity
  • Understanding of consumer trends and segmentation
  • Experience with CRM and loyalty metrics
  • Web development knowledge and key metrics
  • Media metrics, especially transactional
  • Familiarity with Zone CDMO guidelines
  • Knowledge of C1 platform
