Job description

Job Description

Guggenheim Securities (“GS”) is seeking an exceptional Analyst to join its Technology, Media and Telecom (“TMT”) Investment Banking group based in London.

Our London-based TMT team is an integral part of GS’ global TMT franchise and leads the coverage and execution of transactions for TMT companies across Europe. The group advises clients on a broad range of financial and strategic matters, including mergers and acquisitions, equity/equity-linked and debt financings, joint ventures, restructurings, and private capital raises.

Graduate Analysts at GS are valued members of lean, high-performing deal teams. You will work closely with senior bankers on live transactions and strategic advisory assignments, gaining exposure to clients and helping to drive execution from day one. The role offers a highly dynamic environment that accelerates professional development through meaningful, hands-on experience on high-profile assignments.

We are committed to fostering a culture of Innovation, Diversity and Inclusion. In a client services business like ours, our people are the product, the service, and the offering. We invest heavily in professional development through best-in-class Investment Banking training—both formal and on-the-job—to build your professional toolkit across M&A process management, financial modelling, data analysis, commercial judgement, presentation skills, professional communication (verbal, written and virtual), negotiations, and more.

We are looking for ambitious, intellectually curious individuals with a strong work ethic who can excel in an unstructured environment where initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued. The role is suited to candidates with a desire to build a long-term career in investment banking with a view to earning a promotion to Associate at the culmination of their Analyst program.

Essential Job Functions

  • Support execution of M&A and capital raising transactions across the TMT sector
  • Assist in the preparation of client presentations, pitch materials and marketing documents
  • Support deal teams in developing, maintaining and using complex financial models and valuation analyses under guidance from senior team members
  • Draft internal and client-facing materials including memoranda, management presentations, and marketing content
  • Conduct company, market, and sector research to support deal execution and business development
  • Collaborate with deal teams and external parties including clients, lawyers, and accountants throughout the transaction process
  • Management of several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in investment banking, finance, or corporate strategy (through internships or academic focus - relevant internship experience in investment banking preferred)
  • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Commitment to meet the demands of high volume and high-end client services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Resourcefulness, intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm and a genuine interest in finance
  • High level of maturity, attention to detail, and ability to work with external executives and senior management
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines
  • Desire to join a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial platform
  • Interest in technology and digital infrastructure is a plus

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student expecting to graduate in the current academic year, 2025)
  • Strong academic performance with coursework in finance, economics, business, engineering, or related fields preferred

Work Location

  • Currently, this role is expected to be in the London office at least 4 days per week.
