What might you be doing?

As an apprentice, your tasks will be diverse to help you find your niche. You will learn to:

• Produce detailed designs and drawings
• Use advanced computer modelling software
• Conduct site surveys

• Design engineering systems digitally
• Write specifications
• Monitor construction progress

Training

You will develop technical and management skills in design and project management, with ongoing support, mentoring, and supervision. You will also have one day of study leave during term time to attend university, working towards your BSc or BEng in Building Services Engineering. This Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship provides a pathway to achieve Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status.

The apprenticeship duration is typically months, depending on prior experience and opportunities to complete the full range of competencies.

What do you need?

• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Two A levels at Grades A*-C, including Mathematics and Physical Science, or equivalent
• Or a Level 3 Apprenticeship as a Building Services Design Technician
• Genuine interest in building a career in this sector
