A shuttering carpenter creates formwork or shuttering, which are temporary structures on site used as essential components of the reinforced concrete construction process. Formwork refers to either temporary or permanent moulds into which concrete is poured to form the building's concrete frame elements and substructure.
Our Trade and Technical Apprenticeship programme is designed for individuals passionate about construction and engineering. It combines college and work-based training, allowing you to build skills and gain a recognised qualification while working on some of the most exciting projects in the UK.
The programme provides a formal college education leading to Level 2 and/or 3 apprenticeship standards in your chosen vocation. You will also gain broad technical skills through on-the-job training, supported by our qualified workforce and construction professionals. A dedicated mentor and approved training provider will support your progress with regular feedback.
Note: The apprenticeship trials will take place in August 2024 unless stated otherwise.
