2025-022 Executive Assistant (Deputy Grand Chief)

POSITION: Executive Assistant (Deputy Grand Chief)

DEPARTMENT: Political

COMPETITION#: 2025-022

LOCATION: Timmins/Moose Factory

TERM: Full-Time

CLOSING DATE: May 12, 2025 @ 4:00 PM

POSITION SUMMARY

The Executive Assistant will report to the Deputy Grand Chief and will provide administrative support to facilitate the political and administrative operations of the Mushkegowuk Council and the Council of Chiefs. The Executive Assistant will also maintain confidential records, assist, and perform other related duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Post-Secondary Diploma in Office Administration and/or a minimum of four (4) years in an administrative or office setting
  2. Working knowledge of recording and transcribing minutes
  3. Strong written and oral communication skills
  4. Excellent organizational skills
  5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Connect, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  6. Experience working within an Education, Political, or First Nation environment is an asset
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality
  8. Ability to work flexible hours and under minimal supervision
  9. Willingness to travel
  10. Ability to communicate in Cree is an asset
  11. Valid "G" driver's license is an asset
  12. Copy of certificates/diplomas to be submitted with resume
