Sefton’s leading care provider, New Directions, is now recruiting for a Cook in our Poplars Short Break service in Southport. We currently employ around 350 staff across the business who pride themselves on delivering high quality social care and support to vulnerable groups within the Sefton area.

Poplars provides a high quality short break service for people with learning disabilities and additional complex needs which operates 24/7 care all year round.

The post holder will prepare and serve nutritionally balanced and attractively presented meals.

You will ensure that the kitchen operates efficiently and is a safe and hygienic working environment.

A basic Food Hygiene Certificate equivalent is essential and a catering qualification or an intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous.
