A leading care organization is looking for a Part-time Support Worker to provide dedicated support to individuals with learning disabilities. Location: Colchester
Salary: £12.26 per hour
Hours: 25 hours per week
Must be happy to work weekends when needed.

You will be responsible for inspiring and supporting our dedicated teams to deliver outstanding care services to individuals with moderate to severe learning disabilities.

Requirements:
Supporting 3x ladies and 1x gentleman, Down Syndrome/LD/sensory impairment/mental health experience required. Support with daily living tasks, personal care, activities in the community e.g. shopping, swimming, discos, social clubs
Key Responsibilities:
???? Provide the highest standards of care and support in all aspects of daily life.
Lead and inspire the team to ensure services are Well-led, Safe, Caring, Effective, and Responsive.
Support individuals to be active members of their communities, and help them access education, work, and leisure opportunities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records (both electronic and paper-based).
Complete, review, and update person-centred risk assessments.
️ Promote health, safety, and well-being while encouraging positive risk-taking.
Deliver Person-Centred Active Support practices.
Promote independence, choice, and dignity in all aspects of care.
Must-Haves:
️ Minimum 3 years’ experience in a care or support role️ Strong IT skills (Word, email)️ Experience supervising staff and managing records️ Good understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, and person-centred care️ Passion for enabling people to live fulfilling, independent lives
