Job Description:

Opus People Solutions is looking for a 1st Line Support IT Technician in Huntingdon. The successful candidate will serve as technical support for Cambridge and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA), assisting team members in various departments to troubleshoot technology issues. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating computer equipment, enforcing data security policies, and training employees on basic technical issues.

• Manage installations and support for CPCA users and members
• Provide remote reactive and preventative maintenance for CPCA Systems
• Handle calls, emails, and support cases, keeping users updated
• Resolve issues remotely or onsite
• Participate in training and certification as required
• Contribute to the development of colleagues, systems, processes, and procedures
• Configure new devices to standards
• Create and administer CPCA user accounts in line with audit controls
• Perform daily system checks such as backups and network monitoring
• Test disaster recovery procedures

Qualifications:

• Experience in a technical support role
• Experience with remote support software
• Troubleshooting experience with PCs and laptops
• Ability to build trust with customers
• Experience with web-based applications like Microsoft 365
