About the job

Our client, a Challenger Bank, is looking for a 1st Line Operational Risk Manager to join their Operational Risk team based in London.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with stakeholders across the three lines of defence to ensure risk operates within risk appetite, through the application of appropriate mitigating controls.
• Identify areas of risk and possess strong knowledge of operational risks and controls.
• Lead in defining solutions in response to risks that are smart, proportionate, sustainable (e.g., automated controls over manual interventions), and considered (holistic approach to improve the risk environment).
• Manage interdependencies to support the delivery of solutions and change initiatives in a timely and high-quality manner.
• Ensure timely delivery of MI and reports to enable informed, risk-based decision-making.

Previous experience within Operational Risk is preferred.
