About the Opportunity

We have exciting opportunities for 1st Class Machinists and Fitters to join our Battle Space Integrated Solutions Business Unit based at Edinburgh Parks, South Australia. With multiple large, long-term contracts won by our Advanced Manufacturing division, we seek experienced 1st Class CNC Machinists capable across various CNC machine types, manual machining, and fitting, to join our day, afternoon, and night shift teams.

As a 1st Class CNC Machinist, you will enjoy four weeks of annual leave, overtime, RDOs, uniform, onsite canteen, all within a temperature-controlled environment. Shares are available after one year of service, and domestic relocation support is provided for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CNC machining tasks related to defence requirements.
  • Undertake CNC component machining across a range of machines for defence projects to meet schedules.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for engineering systems and defect reporting for traceability.
  • Collaborate with Quality staff to ensure compliance with project quality standards.
  • Follow safety, health, and environment procedures and adhere to quality systems.
  • Identify and report potential or known quality issues.
  • Contribute to process and procedure improvements.
  • Validate parts during manufacturing.
About You
  • Mechanical trade certificate.
  • Experience in CNC machining.
  • Manual machining and fitting experience (preferred).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance of 'Baseline' and be cleared for ITAR.
  • Strong team focus and a positive attitude.
  • Effective communication skills with stakeholders.
