About The Role

We're seeking someone comfortable and experienced in providing desktop support at a 1st / 2nd line level. We support organisations using a variety of cloud (Office 365, Azure, G Suite) and on-prem (Windows, Macs, Exchange, SQL) environments. This role will primarily be based in the office or onsite.

We're looking for a people person who is capable, eager, and smart. We value problem solving highly, so you'll enjoy challenges and finding the right solutions.

Every day is different; support will include remote assistance, onsite visits, and participation in projects, migrations, etc. Depending on your experience and interests, there will also be opportunities to learn new technologies and specialise.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Ability to diagnose technical issues quickly, in person, over the phone, and via ticketing systems
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical problems clearly and simply
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience supporting users with laptops, desktops, and printers
  • Experience supporting and administering Office 365 and/or Google Workspace
  • Knowledge of networking devices/functions such as DHCP, Wi-Fi, routers, broadband
  • Experience supporting Windows 10 and common desktop software including Microsoft Office
  • Basic understanding of cloud concepts
  • Right to work in the UK
  • At least two years' experience in a similar role (excluding apprenticeships or traineeships)

Desirable Skills

  • Experience supporting virtualised environments
  • Support experience with MacOS devices
  • Experience with virtualised infrastructure assets
  • Knowledge of MDM (Mobile Device Management) such as Intune or Apple Configurator
  • Networking skills: TCP/IP, routing, DNS
  • Experience with Windows Server 2008-2019
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification
  • Experience working within an MSP environment
  • Relevant higher education or training
