Job description

A popular legal employer in the Yorkshire region has an opening for a junior-level Banking lawyer with upwards of 1PQE gained within a national/international firm's Banking team. This would be an ideal opening for someone who is looking to work more closely with colleagues in a smaller team and for any solicitors looking for a clearer progression route / more career development opportunities.

My client's Banking team work on behalf of household names ranging from institutional lenders, private equity funds and corporate borrowers in all types of finance transactions. Candidates who can show a range of diverse Banking law experience, including corporate financing, asset-based lending and real estate/development finance would be of particular interest to the team. There is also a very close relationship between my client's Banking and Corporate teams and so the successful candidate can expect to be regularly engaging with and assisting on financial elements of more corporate-based transactions, including on mergers and acquisitions.

Any Banking lawyer applying for this role will need to live within commutable distance of the centre of Leeds as this is where the team are based. Hybrid working is available at my client's firm but this role will not be suitable for someone who is looking to work more from home than from the office.
