Job summary

Booker Group plc in Cardiff is hiring a Driver to deliver locally and build relationships with regular customers. You will be responsible for loading stock at the branch and delivering to customer premises, ensuring on-time deliveries and great service.

This is a 7‑day operation with weekend shifts; overtime opportunities and fully funded CPC training hours are provided to help you progress.

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T licence required.
• Minimum two years driving experience.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Able to carry out manual deliveries.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch.
• Unload deliveries at the customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Maintain productive relationships with customers and ensure timely deliveries.

About the role

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. You will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patterns may include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
