A leading company in leisure services is seeking a part-time supervisor for their Leisure Centre in Kirkcaldy. The role involves ensuring the safety and cleanliness of facilities, supervising users, and maintaining high customer care standards. Ideal candidates will possess a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and demonstrate strong communication skills. To supervise Leisure Centre users, including adults, youths, children and groups, to ensure the safe use of facilities and equipment and to ensure the cleanliness of the building.
Current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
To undertake duties in wet, dry, and other areas, including maintaining cleanliness of designated areas, controlling facilities, issuing and safeguarding clothing and personal belongings in the changing facility, and assembling/dismantling facilities and equipment.
To oversee the safety and behaviour of the public and users, directing activities to prevent injury, misuse, and damage to facilities.
To adhere to current operating procedures, including Normal Operation Procedures, Emergency Action Plan, Safety policy, and Health and Safety principles.
To attend regular Health & Safety training to maintain required competency.
To provide trained assistance to Leisure Centre users in difficulty, including poolside and lifesaving skills.
To patrol the building for routine maintenance and security.
To supervise children's activities, including birthday parties and Activity Camps.
To perform pool tests and assist in plant room operations as appropriate.
To attend training to maintain competency and fitness standards.
Where required, to undertake basic administration functions such as bookings, cash handling, customer reception, telephone calls, and receiving goods.
To undertake other duties as required by centre management.
Demonstrate knowledge of customer care requirements.
