Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in Barnsley is seeking an enthusiastic member of staff for a fixed term/secondment role in admin and clerical support. You will manage reception duties, maintain appointment systems, and interact with the public. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, relevant qualifications, and a commitment to professionalism. This is a part-time position with a focus on patient-centered care.

22.5 hours per week fixed term/secondment opportunity until 31st March 2027.We are looking for an enthusiastic member of staff to joinour admin and clerical team supporting our Orthotics, Physiotherapy, Occupationaltherapy, Dietetics, Speech and language therapy departments. You will offer a person-centered approachthrough offering a full range of reception, administrative and clerical dutiesthat supports the efficient and effective of running of the therapy and outpatientdepartment at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

You will maintaina high level of professionalism whilst responsible for reception duties for ourtherapy and outpatient services at BHNFT. You will be dealing with enquiriesand providing information to the general public both face to face and over thetelephone.

Youwill be responsible for maintaining an efficient and effective appointmentsystem for several out-patient therapy areas, including, booking, cancellingand re-arranging appointments, recording patient referrals and using ourdigital systems.
