Job description

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Fitter to join a family-owned business that has been operating for over 50 years specialising in bulk earth works for large property re-development and building pads for major industrial and commercial sites.

Working as part of a small team this role will be responsible for undertaking diagnostic, repair and preventive maintenance on fleet of heavy machinery including Moxy Trucks, Dozers, Graders and Excavators. The role is a permanent role based locally in the Ipswich area attracting company vehicle and opportunity for overtime on top of salary. You will need to show an ability to work as part of a team, work safely and efficiently and be flexible fixing a wide range of varying issues from day to day.

What we’re looking for;

• Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade)
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and mechanical components
• Experience in CAT mobile plant equipment (D6, D7, D8, 730, 740, 615, 623)
• Own tools required and HR Truck licence (desirable)
• Proficiency in using machining tools such as lathes and milling machines
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
