Purpose
The Principal Moderator ensures the standards of externally assessed units are maintained and consistent with specifications and assessment criteria. They oversee standardization of Moderators.

Represent Pearson professionally, adhere to policies, respect confidentiality, attend training, meet deadlines, promote diversity, ensure IT readiness, communicate timely, and report concerns.
Role Specific Services and Expectations
Ensure timely delivery, lead standardization meetings, moderate candidate responses, prepare materials, support staff, monitor progress, review responses, escalate issues, report outcomes, support awarding activities, reflect on performance, and respond to complaints.
Skills and Competencies
Demonstrate quality assurance experience, moderation expertise, training ability, sector knowledge, IT proficiency, leadership, regulatory understanding, and report writing skills.
