Job summary

Vets Now Referrals Glasgow is seeking enthusiastic applicants for a 12-month Discipline-Specific Internship in Internal Medicine and Oncology, starting 05 April 2027. The role offers split rotations, close supervision from EBVS specialists, and hands-on case involvement with potential primary case responsibility.

Ideal candidates are aiming for a residency or credential, with strong communication skills, UK work eligibility, and a genuine interest in small animal Internal Medicine and Oncology.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree recognised by the RCVS.
• Registration or eligibility for registration with the RCVS.
• Eligibility to work in the UK; visa sponsorship may be discussed.
• At least one year of experience in small animal practice (rotating internship desirable).
• Strong communication and English language skills.
• Genuine interest in small animal Internal Medicine and/or Oncology.
• High clinical standards, attention to detail, and professional integrity.
• Proactive and collaborative attitude; commitment to patient and client care.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with specialists to investigate and manage Internal Medicine and Oncology cases.
• Participate in rotations across other disciplines or externships.
• Contribute to seminars, journal clubs, and teaching opportunities.
• Engage in clinical research projects and independent study.
• Maintain accurate medical records and high standards of patient and client care.
