12 Month NHS Fixed Term Locum Consultant Anaesthetics

NHS Locum Consultant Anaesthetist – 12 Month NHS Fixed Term Contract – Scotland

We are looking for Consultants in Anaesthetics who are interested in a 12 month Fixed Term Contract as NHS Locum Consultant (salaried) to join our client in Scotland.

Our client is one of Scotland's smallest General Hospitals with about 100 acute beds serving a population of approximately 140,000 people. Work is ongoing to increase in the number of Anaesthetists at Dr Gray's Hospital to allow for a modern work- life balance and promote an environment which will attract high quality colleagues.

The anaesthetic department provides an elective and emergency service for General Surgery, Orthopaedics & Trauma, Gynaecology, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology and Dental Surgery. Anaesthesia is provided for surgery in children over the age of two years.

Ideal candidates will
- Have FRCA and full GMC registration or be eligible for inclusion within 6 months.
- Min 6 years clinical anaesthesia experience.
- Ability to undertake clinical work expected of a consultant anaesthetist in the NHS.
- Recent experience in inter-hospital transfer of critically ill patients and current or past experience at consultant level in paediatrics and obstetric anaesthesia
