Job summary

Manpower (United Kingdom) is seeking a Technical Production Operative for its Leeds (LS14) site. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation of production machinery and adherence to SOPs on a rotating 12-hour shift pattern.

You will conduct changeovers, support SMED improvements, manage materials to meet weekly demands, and participate in quality and environmental procedures, reporting findings across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 GCSEs including English, Maths and Science or Engineering at Grade 4 or above.
• Experience operating machinery safely and following SOPs.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate machinery following SOPs and safety standards.
• Conduct routine changeovers, start-up, and shutdown procedures with SMED.
• Manage materials to meet weekly production demands.
• Perform daily checks, adjustments, and defect tagging in R2S.
• Support problem-solving, root cause analysis, and pit stops.
• Monitor quality and assist in investigations using Q-EWO.
• Follow environmental protocols to minimise waste and handle hazardous materials.
• Communicate across shifts with clear reports.
