Job Purpose Summary
The People Data Senior Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, creating, and setting up the system for our people data business intelligence reporting and data dashboards. This role requires a strong knowledge of, and proficiency in, system reporting and data analytics. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide actionable insights through effective reporting solutions.
Working with NatureScot's leadership team the People Data Senior Analyst will produce business intelligence reporting which provide clear strategic links to NatureScot's corporate objectives. By working collaboratively, the successful candidate will enhance and optimise our current business information offering, ensuring it becomes more predictive, provides actionable insight, highlights trends and prompts data consumers into action.
The People Data Senior Analyst will deliver a comprehensive review of people data reporting at NatureScot and will provide an options appraisal and recommendations for NatureScot to further develop and enhance our people data reporting. They will also support the Head of People and OD to deliver the data structures to inform strategic resource planning and to support wider business planning from a people resource perspective.
The successful candidate will work autonomously as well as part of an experienced team of system analysts providing specialist advice and technical expertise. There will be some degree of autonomous decision making. The range of tasks can be varied and will therefore require a well-developed understanding of complexities which exist within datasets relative to an employee lifecycle. Planning and organising of your own workload will be required to deliver on corporate priorities. The role is required to evaluate different approaches, problem solve and provide a range of solutions.
Using a service design approach, NatureScot endeavours to place our users at the centre of what we do. With an agile approach to project delivery, we can dynamically flex to respond to customer needs and organisational priorities. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of service design and agile methodologies.
