We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR professional to join our team as a Business Partner. The role is initially a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension to 12 months.

The Job in a Nutshell

You will work closely with our HR team and stakeholders to integrate business goals with our people strategy, focusing on creating high-performing teams, reducing attrition, and attracting top talent. Your responsibilities will include providing support to stakeholders through skills and talent mapping, effective people management, and using data and insights to drive continuous improvements.

What Success Looks Like

To be successful in this role, you will be a confident communicator and a people-person, building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing valuable insights and input. You will be a champion of change and innovation, embracing new ways of working and supporting our customers in their journey.

You will have a solid understanding of our business goals, expectations, and ambitions, and you will be able to think broadly, recognizing the bigger picture. You will stay relevant, establishing your own network of internal and external contacts, and you will be accountable for a small portfolio of HR processes.

Responsibilities and Requirements

You will have a strong foundation of core knowledge in people practice, including policy, regulation, and law, workforce planning, change, performance management, employer brand, wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion. Ideally, you will be a qualified CIPD member with recent and practical experience in HR, and you will be able to evidence your skills and knowledge through your career history and learning journey.

  • Employee Relations Management: ensuring process is applied fairly and consistently, with current employment law knowledge as a strong backbone to your approach.
  • Change Management: applying the right tools, techniques, methods, and processes to support and enable all types of change.
  • People Analytics: drawing upon data and information to inform your next steps, recommendations, and options.
  • Engagement and Employee Experience: understanding what motivates people and working in a way that makes our colleagues feel heard and included.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: supporting and enabling our colleagues to be themselves, to have a voice, and to be at their best at Home Group.
Desirable Skills and Experience

We would also love you to have experience in coaching and mentoring, job evaluation, and working in housing, health, and/or supported care. Knowledge of the regulation of housing, health, and social care, and the changing funding landscape, would be advantageous.

Accountabilities
